The F15 is suited for monitoring, vision and
control systems as well as test and measure-
ment in rugged mobile environments. Unlike
other Intel
®
platforms the F15 has no socke-
ted components, is screened for -40 to +85°C
operation temperature and prepared for con-
formal coating. The single-board computer
features the latest and fastest PC technologies
such as multi-core architecture, Intel
®
virtuali-
zation technology or serial data transfer with
PCI Express
®
and serial ATA (SATA). The F15
can be extended by various side cards to add
UARTs, multiple graphics access and the abili-
ty to control CompactPCI
®
Express systems.

The F11N is designed for systems which
require low power consumption, e.g. as a
computing platform for rugged industrial
PCs in mobile or infotainment applications,

isolation), further UARTs, CAN bus, binary

SOM EM4N for
Automated Subway Control
The EM4N is a complete embedded single-
board computer which is used on a 6U VME-
bus carrier in an automated subway control
system. It is fully compliant with EN 50155.
The on-board FPGA is used for example to
integrate an SRAM controller which transfers
data between the EM4N and its carrier board.
